Procrastination may seem like a nice thing to do at the time as you get more time to go out and play or do something you require to do in lieu of finishing off your work. However, it may seem nice in the short term but it can affect you in the long run. You will soon know how to how to stop procrastination in college.
If you push back a piece of work you are set to last minute you will finish up rushing it and thus leading to plenty of mistakes which won’t get you the grade you require. What is even worse is that while rushing the work you may must stay up later than you normally do and this can cause you to become tired during the next day and with college you may find yourself sleeping in an important lesson or missing college all together.
This technique is highly effective and you will be surprised at how much work you can actually get yourself to do. Every time you sit down to do some work and you don’t feel like it think of the party, clothes or whatever you promised yourself and see how motivated you will be to do some work. One of my top tips to stop procrastinating in college to get your work completed on time and in nice condition is to reward yourself. I used this method when I was running; I promised to buy myself a new pair of trainers (which I needed) if I ran to my schedule for a month. You can also use this method to get yourself motivated to work. Reward yourself with going to a party or something and if you don’t do your work, you cannot go to the party simple.
